Today has been an absolutely great day. The weather has been perfect and so after our last classroom session for the week, and yet another GREAT lunch, we took off for a 45 minute walk to the equestrian centre. The kids have had a fantastic spirit, singing all the way, and telling unending stories. Upon arrival, Marine, the lady in charge at the centre put us in teams, and before long we were grooming the horses. She explained a few techniques on riding then we engaged in games to practice what we had learned. It was so much fun riding the cart horses and ponies, and actually competing in centre ball and horse ball! The kids did not want to leave, but unfortunately there was another group ready for their lesson. Their spirits were not dampened at all, as they sang, and chatted all the way back to the Observatory. I thought they would be tired by the time we got back, but they were begging to play again. So after another 20 minutes of hide-n-seek it was time to shower.
We have not had clear skies the past 2 nights, so we have not been able to use the telescopes, and tonight is very promising, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for the stars to be out tonight.
Tomorrow we go to the volcano, and we are praying that the weather will be kind to us there as well. The kids are looking forward to it, not only that, SHOPPING after that as well!!! So we have a FULL day tomorrow.
