Day two so far...

After yesterday and last night, I expected the kids to wake up late, but I guess the excitement was just too much for them to stay in bed. Georgie was up at 3 am, and she woke the other girls up in her room. However, they managed to stay in bed until about 5:30am, but just had to get up even though they had been told to stay in bed until 7am!

After our devotion, we had breakfast, and then we were off to the observatory. As the sun was up and out, we went straight to the observatory to view the sun using the various instruments. The kids were wowed to be able to look at the sun directly using a very special filtered telescope. The sunspots were clear, and the explosions on the sun were also an amazing sight to see! They also got to see the moon during the daytime, which proved to be so pretty in white with a blue background. After all the viewing, it was time to make notes about the sun, and the facts were interesting. The kids were very good, firing all sorts of questions at Claudie. Their conclusion is that it is better to learn here than to be in a learning centre!

Before long, it was already 12pm and time for lunch. We all eagerly marched to the dinning hall, with much expectation. And for sure we were not disappointed as Stahn's comments sum it up, "I don't like the lunch, J'ADORE!!" I'll leave you guessing what we had for lunch!
